I can’t believe that it’s mid-June already.

That means we’re well into the last quarter for our Australian companies & the last month of the first quarter for our New Zealand businesses.

So, how has the financial year worked out for you or how is the year starting for you?

I’ve been doing some analysis of all of our clients and I’m pleased to say that every business that I have worked with for more than 9 months and that has followed the EOS proven process, has seen an increase in revenue over the last financial year.

Most have had their best year ever…. Which seems to go against the idea of a recession.

I’m not debating whether we have experienced an economic downturn; the overall results from the 2 countries make that obvious.

I just think it’s interesting that companies with plans and a strong operating system are continuing to grow.

The average growth across all of our businesses that have implemented EOS Purely for more than 12 months has been revenue growth of 22.86% and net profit increase of 51.75%.

So why is that?

I believe this is because they have worked through all the issues, had tough conversations, and focused on what is important in their plans and execution.

That’s the beauty of EOS – it’s going to highlight all the issues, force you to confront them and keep you laser-sharp focused on what’s important – so that you don’t get distracted by non-issues & bright, shiny objects.

Which is why I encourage everyone to start using EOS in their business.

We don’t mind if you self-implement EOS into your business—we’d much rather you do something rather than nothing, and you’ll still see good results.

We will give you all the support you need—the tools, the books, the support through blogs and podcasts—to get started and make a real difference.

Which brings me to our main article this week.

BUSINESS TOOLS & REAL-LIFE LESSONS

Why Would You Use An EOS Implementer Rather Than Self-Implement?

It’s a really good question.

You can certainly get results from self-implementing. Every one of my clients who have self-implemented has seen an increase not only in their revenue but also in their bottom line.

So, why would you pay to have someone help you?

Have you ever run a meeting and be the facilitator, the notetaker, or the participant? It’s hard to play all three roles effectively, and the one that tends to suffer the most is being able to be actively present in the discussions.

Yet, you’re the founder and an important part of the Leadership Team. You need to be able to be fully present and contribute to the greater good.

Also, to get the best results, you need to ensure that you are not leading your team to the answers you want to hear, but rather, you are all being facilitated to fight for the greater good in a way that everyone feels comfortable sharing their views.

If they were only 2 things, you’d already be better off, but we can offer a few more.

As Professional, Certified EOS Implementers, our role is threefold: to teach, facilitate, and coach the team.

As teachers, we teach the EOS tools purely. We can fine-tune the way you use the tools and ensure that you get the most from them. This is because we train obsessively around the tools, attending quarterly deep dives, studying, and working with many other companies that use them.

As facilitators, we’re there to help everyone be heard and ensure that we’re fighting for the company’s greater good. We also enter danger where others may not be able to.

As coaches, we’re much like sports coaches. We can be objective, watching you play from the sidelines and picking up on things you may not see as players in the game. And because we work with multiple different businesses (I generally work with up to 20-25 businesses at any one time), we experience all sorts of things, which makes us better coaches and ask better questions.

All of this means we’re going to help you to move the needle faster.

So, self-implementation vs. doing it yourself is like steroids for your business (but in a good way!).

All of the above is based on firsthand experience and feedback from clients. I have now worked with several businesses that self-implemented and then came to me.

They cited these things as what they got from working with me and, therefore, as reasons to engage with an implementer.

One of them had been self-implementing for 2 years, and I was honestly a bit nervous about whether I would be able to help them. Now, they’re one of my biggest converts and one of my biggest referrers as well. Thank you, Adam Wolfe

I’ve shared a few articles below that will help you, regardless of whether you are self-implementing or wanting to use an EOS Implementer.

How do you help people?

Currently, my main focus is assisting Debra with organising and refining web page events for upcoming conferences. One thing that has become apparent to me in this process is the ever-changing nature of event details; numerous aspects require approval, and often, we encounter roadblocks that necessitate seeking alternative solutions. This experience has given me a broader understanding of the intricacies involved in event setup and management, which I did not expect to encounter, assuming it was a smooth process.

Additionally, I support Debra in her client meetings, which has proven to be an invaluable learning opportunity for me.  This includes handling correspondence and managing office supplies; although these tasks appear mundane, they are crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the business.

Why did you get into what you are doing?

I decided to undertake two majors in university, human resources and marketing. I initially did this to broaden my capabilities. Still, I have always been passionate about bringing people together and creating a positive environment where everyone feels valued and involved, whether in a social setting with different groups of friends or in my previous work environments, ensuring everyone is equally involved and comfortable.

Ultimately, while I now have skills in human resources, I got into marketing because it offers a blend of creativity and strategy that perfectly aligns with my skills and interests. I love creating new ideas and developing them. This is one of the strengths I can offer in the field of marketing, developing strategies that will capture a specific audience’s attention.

What do you love about it?

I am captivated by the psychology behind consumer behaviour, which has led me to consistently observe businesses and consider improving them by honing in on the appropriate target audience. I enjoy creating impactful messages that resonate with diverse groups of people.

I find the dynamic nature of marketing to be the most intriguing. There is always something new to learn and adjust to, whether emerging trends, innovative technologies, or evolving consumer preferences. The team-oriented environment and tangible achievements I witness in successful campaigns amplify my passion, elevating marketing to a consistent adventure rather than just a job.

What do you do in your spare time, pursuing other passions?

I deeply love animals, especially when it comes to nursing them. Living in a semi-rural area with my two cocker spaniels, my family and I started raising chickens for egg production. We began with just 12 hens and two roosters, and last summer, we hatched around 60 chicks.

Now, six months later, they are almost fully grown. So I’ve found that time slows down enjoyably when caring for them—collecting eggs every morning, watching for any signs of illness to form appropriate treatment, and hand-raising the occasional outlier chick that needs extra attention.

It’s an enriching experience, except we plan on eating them, too, so there’s that.

Tell us something that very few people know about you

I also enjoy camping and tramping; the thrill of survival is enjoyable, and the rewarding feeling of cooking a meal with primitive tools is the best part.

I took part in the Duke of Edinburg programme during high school, and on one of the expeditions, I walked 60 kilometres across Cape Reinga with my friends.

FIND OF THE WEEK

You know how much I love my remarkable… well, no remarkable is complete without great templates, which is why I introduce eInkPads to you!

I like to make my own templates, but it’s frustrating each time reMarkable updates; these disappear from the reMarkable, so I have their Template Installer, which quickly reinstalls them with one click.

They also do a cool range of their own templates – I love their 12-month calendar one!

They’ve also started introducing reMarkable covers.

The best thing about them?

They charge for their software in NZ$ & AU$, as their owner came recently to this side of the word & recognised the disadvantage for us paying in US$ – now that’s looking after your customers. 🙂

You can check out the templates they offer below!
